AIG Zone 5 Visits Delta State Police Command Tomorrow
The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone 5, in charge of Edo, Bayelsa and Delta states, Rasheed Akintunde is expected to visit Delta State Police Command tommorroe, March 16, 2018 on a familiarization tour.
A presss release by the command said that the AIG will hold an interactive session with representatives of Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, herdsmen, farmers , Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, the Muslim community, traditional rulers, National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, and Tricycle/Motorcycle Riders Association at the Police State Headquarters in Asaba on the said day.
The AIG is also expected to pay a courtesy visit on the Asagba of Asaba and the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi A. Okowa.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Muhammad A. Mustafa, has charged the officer in charge of Safer Highways outfit of the Command, SP Ogedengbe Areguame, to redouble his efforts and to justify his recent promotion to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
The CP gave the charge Tuesday, March 13th, 2018, while decorating the officer with his new rank.
CP Mustafa appreciated the Inspector-General of Police and the Police Service Commission for considering CSP Ogedengbe Areguamen from the Command for the promotion.
