One time President General of Oviri-Olomu Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief Simon Ebrobota, has said that the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) is the only instrumentality that can be used to effect a change in the Country, just as he urged the youths in Oviri-Olomu and its environs to ensure the collection of their PVC ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The community leader made the assertion when the Oviri-Olomu youths led by George Akanuota paid him a courtesy visit at his country home.
Chief Ebrobota enjoined those who are yet to register for the PVC to do so without any delay.
Chief Ebrobota said,”Our numerical strength must be adequately demonstrated in the political space. We should know that the only tool that can be deployed to effect a change is through the instrumentality of the cards”.
Chief Ebrobota said the creation of additional Electoral Wards as well as Polling Units is based on the numbers of registered Voters and PVCs collected just as he tasked them not to relegate the Godgiven endowment with their refusal to register as eligible voters.
Chief Ebrobota who commended the youths for the visit also vowed to offer useful advice from his political wealth of experience.
Chief Ebrobota also frowned at the “despicable” and “abpminable” act of sexual perversion in the area.
“cases of unacceptable sexual behaviour hitherto alien to our society are now being reported. This is unacceptable.
Chief Ebrobota warned that anyone caught in the ungodly act will face the music stressing,” The person must cleanse the land.”
He said youths should always.strive to maintain the culture that has ensured peace in the land over the years and distant themselves from acts capable of causing calamity in the area.
