69-Year-Old Transporter, Opia, Disappears In Delta
A 69-year-old man, Mr. Anthony Opia, has suddenly disappeared along the along Ughelli Expressway in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was learnt that Opia, a transporter who plied the Ughelli, Ozoro and Oghara routes suddenly disappeared on the 29th of June 2017 in a Passat vehicle and has since not returned.
Opia is a native of Ukwuani Community in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.
Mr. Prosper Opia, eldest son of Anthony Opia disclosed this to Oasis Magazine during a chat on Sunday in Warri.
The thirty 32-year-old Prosper lamented that living without their father has been very “painful” and “stressful”.
Prosper said since the very day his father left the house at Karien Street in Okumagba Layout, Warri, he has not returned home and this is over one year.
Prosper stated that his father was last seen at about 10a.m on the faithful day.
Prosper claimed that the matter was reported to the Police Station in Ughelli by his uncle, Pastor Albert Opia stressing that efforts by their family to search for him has been unsuccessful.
Prosper who expressed belief that his father may be alive, begged the various security agencies as well as the Delta State Government to intensify its efforts in the search of his father and reunite him with his family.
“I beg the Police, Army, Navy, Civil Defence, Immigration, Customs and Delta Government to help me look for my father. It has not been easy with us the children and our mother. Please help us I beg you.”
Prosper noted that his father left behind a wife with four children.
