Warri Zone: NIFES To Hold 50th Anniversary Celebration July 7

The Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES), Warri Zone, will on the 7th of July, 2018, mark her 50th anniversary, as dignitaries from all walks of life are expected to be in attendance.
The said event tagged: ‘Celebrating God’s Faithfulness’, is scheduled to hold at the popular Pink and Purple Event Centre, opposite, DSC Permanent Camp, Orhuworun Road, Igbogidi, Delta State.
Dignitaries expected to grace the event include: Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Founder, Word of Life Bible Church, Warri; Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli, Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Emmanuel Sideso; Ovie of Udu
Kingdom, HRM Ohworu 1, E. Delekpe; Chief Onajite Brown, Chairman, Udu Local Govt. Chairman; Apostle Dave & Pst. (Mrs.) Rhoda Heman-Ackah; Rev. Dr. Great & Rev. (Mrs.) Ufuoma Omasheye (JP); Pst. & Dr. (Mrs) Lucky Ataikiru and Amb. Dr. Nicholas Obi Nkwocha.
In a press release, the organization said that: “NIFES 50th nationwide Golden Jubilee celebration is aimed at celebrating God’s faithfulness over the ministry of NIFES; showcasing God’s amazing work over the years and sharing and re-emphasizing our vision to give people more opportunity to be part of the transformation work.
“The conference hopes to host 300 associates and 200 students across the zone.”
Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM), the Training Secretary (TS) of the fellowship in the zone, Mr. Busari Tunde, said that the zone is looking forward to hosting associates, student members and invited guests.
“We hope through the programme we can make associates understand the vision of NIFES so that they partner with us,” he said.
NIFES is an interdenominational Christian fellowship that came into existence in 1968 as a faith based students’ movement, registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to operate in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
The fellowship has moved from her humble beginning with only 11 campus groups, 1 senior staff and about 3, 500 student members to 377 campus groups, over 70 senior and 100 volunteer staff and close to 30, 000 student members.
Today, many graduates of NIFES are playing significant roles in the society.
