APC Ward 1/5 Women Leader, Mrs. Oyibode, Takes Grassroots Sensitisation To Uduere, Iwhreovie Communities

The APC Women Leader of Ughelli Ward 1/5, Mrs. Eloho Priscillia Oyibode, has continued her grassroots sensitisation campaign across the ward, taking her team to the Uduere and Iwhreovie communities on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

The sensitisation programme, held at the Uduere Town Hall, brought together members of both communities, APC party faithful, women and youth groups, community leaders, government functionaries and other stakeholders.

The event was also attended by the Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Jaro Movudu Egbo, KSC, who joined other party leaders and stakeholders in engaging with the women and members of the communities.

The programme was aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement, improving communication between party leaders and members, and conveying messages from the party leadership to members at the ward and community levels.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Oyibode urged APC members, particularly women, to remain united and committed to the party, while calling on them to support APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.

She also encouraged party members to support APC candidates across the various levels of government, from the presidential candidate to candidates contesting for the State House of Assembly, while urging members to avoid actions that could be regarded as anti-party activities.

According to her, “We are here to sensitise and encourage our women to remain united and committed to the APC. We want our women to support all our candidates and ensure that the party remains strong at the grassroots.”

Mrs. Oyibode further called on members to work together and strengthen mobilisation efforts across the various units and communities within the ward.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Jaro Movudu Egbo, commended the women for their participation and commitment to the party’s grassroots activities.

He particularly praised the Ward Women Leader, Mrs. Oyibode, for her efforts in mobilising and engaging women across the ward. He urged the women to sustain their mobilisation efforts and work collectively towards supporting APC candidates.

Also speaking, the APC Chairman of Ughelli Ward 1/5, Comrade Peter Odokuma, expressed support for the ongoing sensitisation programme.

Comrade Odokuma commended Mrs. Oyibode and her team for taking the party’s engagement directly to women and grassroots members across the ward.

He encouraged party members to remain united, disciplined and committed to the party’s programmes and leadership.
A major highlight of the programme was the distribution of palliatives to women by Mrs. Oyibode as part of the grassroots engagement initiative.

The gathering featured APC leaders, political stakeholders, government functionaries, community leaders, women and youth groups, party faithful and other dignitaries.

Highpoint of the event was the distribution of empowerment and food items to the women by Mrs Oyibode.

The sensitisation exercise forms part of the Ward 1/5 leadership’s continued engagement with members across various communities and units, with the aim of strengthening communication, participation and coordination at the grassroots.
