Artisans Vital To National Economic Revival – Okowa
…donates bus to NATA Delta State
GovernorSenator Ifeanyi Okowa has underscored the importance of artisans to the growth and development of the nation’s economy.
Governor Okowa stated this yesterday at the Unity Hall Asaba during the presentation of a bus to the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) Delta State chapter.
The Governor redeemed his promise to NATA and re-echoed State Government’s resolve to promote the growth of the informal sector in Delta State.
Governor Okowa who was represented by the Senior Political Adviser, Chief Festus Ochonogor in the presentation ceremony stated that Artisans are critical segment of the society and vital to national economic revival.
“We are here to redeem our promise to NATA and this presentation ceremony underscores the importance government places on the informal sector, adding “Our government is committed to the growth of the informal sector because we believe that it will help in national economic revival.”
“We will continue to partner with informal sector groups like NATA in our quest to improve on our SMART Agenda ans make life more meaningful for all Deltans,” he said.
The Senior Political Adviser remarked that Government will continue to assist them with soft loan and possibly grant in aid to enhance their businesses and urged them to key into the Job Creation programme of the Delta State Government.
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of NATA Delta State, Comrade Ifeanyi Abanum thanked Governor Okowa for fulfilling his promise to provide a bus to NATA and pledged the support of Artisians in Delta State to his re-election in 2019.
