Deputy Senate President: UPU Congratulates Omo-Agege, Says Victory For Urhobo Nation

The President of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, Chief (Engr.) Joe Omene, has congratulated Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege over his emergence as Deputy Senate President of the 9th Senate.
Joe Orode Omene, who spoke after the results were announced on the floor of the Senate, said Omo-Agege emerging as the Deputy Senate President is the beginning of good things to come to Urhobo Nation.
Omene whose country home was filled with Urhobos who had come to celebrate with him on the emergence of their son, Olorogun Ovie Omo-Agege as the Deputy Senate President of the 9th Senate, said Urhobo Nation is grateful to President Muhammadu Buhari, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comr. Adams Oshiomhole and others for supporting their own for Deputy Senate President.
While appreciating all those who stood by Omo-Agege during the Senate election, Omene said the Deputy Senate President’s position has not only elevated Urhobo Nation, but also Delta State and South-South at large.
Omene expressed gratitude to all the Senators who came out wholeheartedly to vote en masse for their son, Omo-Agege as the Deputy Senate President of and especcially President Muhammadu Buhari who stood and supported Urhobo to clinch this enviable and exalted position.
