Peretomode: There Are Capable Hands In DELSU That Can Take Over From Me
By Daniel Dafe
The Vice-Chancellor (VC), Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has said that DELSU has more than enough qualified professors to take over from him when his tenure ends.
Peretomode who spoke during the university’s 73rd in the series of inaugural lectures recently, said that his wishes was for him to handover to a successor from within the university and not an outsider.
He called on all qualified and interested applicants to go about vying for the seat without rancour.
He said: “God knows who the next VC is,” as he urged everyone interested in the office to do so without using the ‘pull-him-down’ strategy for anyone they consider a threat to their ambition.
Meanwhile, the Governing Council of Delta State University, Abraka, at its meeting held recently, decided to fill the position of the Vice-Chancellor (VC) that shall be vacant on 1st December, 2019, at the expiration of the tenure of the incumbent VC.
