ICAN: Lucy Okena’s Investiture As SWAN Pioneer Chairperson In Delta To Hold November 23

The investiture of the pioneer Chairperson of the Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN), Delta State Chapter, Mrs. Lucy Okena ACA, is scheduled to hold, alongside the inauguration of the group in the state, on the 23rd of November, 2019.

The occasion will take place at Wellington Hotel, Effurun, Warri, Delta State, as the Governor, Delta State, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, Special Guest of Honour is expected to grace the event billed to kick off with a red carpet at 10.30 a.m and the main event at 11 a.m.

Other dignitaries expected at the programme include: Ovie of Oruarivie Abraka Kingdom, HRM Akpomeyoma Majoroh (Ojeta II), Royal Father of the Day, Commissioner for Finance, Delta State, Sir Fidelis Okenmro Tilije, Commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Patrick Muoboghare, Commissioner for Urban Renewal, Olorogun (Barr.) Arthur Akpowowo, Executive Chairman of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue (DBIR), Sir Monday Onyeme FCA and other top government functionaries.

According to the organizers, the ceremony will be chaired by the Vice President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Dame Onome Adewuyi FCA, as ICAN Council members are also expected to be in attendance.

Continuing, the organizers disclosed that the Vice Chancellor, Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State, Professor (Mrs.) Otete Okobiah, will deliver an inauguration lecture on the said day.

SWAN is made up of female Chartered Accountants who are members of ICAN and pursues activities geared towards enhancing the image of women, the Accountancy profession in particular and the society in general.
