NUJ Delta Council Celebrates Oghoro On His Retirement From State Civil Service

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has congratulated Mr. Augustine Oghoro on the occasion of his “well-earned retirement from the Delta State Civil Service.”

Delta NUJ said this on Friday in a statement signed by Comrade Churchill Oyowe, State Chairman and Comrade Victor Sorokwu, State Secretary.

Appointed as a Permanent Secretary in 2006 by the administration of Chief James Ibori, Mr. Oghoro went on to serve with uncommon dedication across four successive governments—those of Chief James Ibori, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and the incumbent Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

According to the statement, “his wealth of experience and commitment to public service played a vital role in ensuring policy continuity and administrative stability across the years.”

Until his retirement, Mr. Oghoro served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, while also overseeing the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources as Supervisory Permanent Secretary.

Delta NUJ said “his outstanding leadership and professionalism have left indelible marks in the state’s civil service and educational sector.”
