All Roads Lead To Ogwashi-Uku As NAPPS Day Holds Monday In Delta, Young Anticipates Grand Celebration

All roads lead to Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, on Monday, October 12, as the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Delta State Chapter, holds its NAPPS Day celebration alongside the groundbreaking ceremony for its proposed World-Class Secretariat Complex and Multipurpose Auditorium.

The Delta State Chairman of NAPPS, Mrs P. N. Young, expressed optimism about the grand finale, which is expected to bring together private school proprietors, teachers and other education stakeholders from across the state and beyond.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at the proposed site of the NAPPS Delta State World-Class Secretariat Complex and Multipurpose Auditorium, along the Asaba-Ughelli Expressway, Ogwashi-Uku.

The project is expected to provide a befitting administrative base for the association, while the multipurpose auditorium will support its meetings, educational programmes and other activities aimed at advancing private education in Delta State.

Activities marking the celebration have included visits to Chief Inspectors of Education in different localities across the state, visits to orphanages and children’s wards, keep-fit exercises, novelty football matches, table tennis and board games, as well as awareness campaigns, rallies and other community-focused initiatives.

With these activities completed, attention has now shifted to Monday’s grand finale, which will feature the groundbreaking ceremony and other activities marking the celebration.

As part of the programme, NAPPS Delta State Chapter will also host a Gala Night at TRIXWIN Hotel, Isah Road, Ogwashi-Uku, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The gathering is expected to provide an opportunity for members and invited guests to celebrate, network and strengthen professional relationships.

Ahead of the event, Young called on school proprietors, teachers, parents and other stakeholders to participate actively in the celebration, stressing the importance of unity, collaboration and a shared commitment to quality education.

She urged private school proprietors to see NAPPS as a common platform for advancing their interests, addressing challenges confronting the sector and promoting standards that would improve teaching and learning across the state.

Young expressed optimism that the celebration would strengthen bonds among members, create opportunities for networking and knowledge-sharing, and renew the association’s commitment to delivering quality education to children across Delta State.

The events form part of the national NAPPS Day celebration, which brings together proprietors of private schools to celebrate achievements, exchange ideas and foster stronger relationships within the private education sector.

NAPPS Delta State Chapter has invited its members and other stakeholders in the private education sector to attend the Monday events, expected to mark a significant milestone in the association’s activities in the state.
