Bishop Emuobo: Urhobo Nation Has Lost A Role Model— UPU Youthwing President

The President of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Youthwing, Worldwide, Comrade Efemena Umukoro, has mourned the passage of Bishop Diamond Emuobor, the founder of Holy Trinity Mission, Ughelli, Delta State, who died at the age of 76 at the weekend, saying that Urhobo Nation has lost a role model.

In a press statement made available to this medium, the youth president who expressed sadness over the sudden death of the cleric said he was deeply pained by the demise of Bishop Emuobor who hailed from Ugborhen community of Okpe Kingdom.

Umukoro described the death of the pioneer chairman of the Okpe Christian Assembly as a huge loss to Okpe Kingdom, Urhobo Nation and the entire State.

He added: “Bishop Emuobor is a preacher that always stood for what is right, not minding whose horse is gored.

“Urhobo Nation mourns because we have lost an icon that will be greatly missed not just by the Urhobo people, but Delta State and especially the Christian community.

“He was a burning and a shining light and was looked unto by many.

“His demise came to us a shock especially in this critical time in the world where people like him who have over the years walked with God are needed to be a guide and guard to us as we walk our way through the darkness of the COVID-19 scare.

“He did his best for the nation especially Christendom.”

While commiserating with the family, Okpe Kingdom, Urhobo Nation and the entire State, the Urhobo youth leader said the best way to honour the cleric that has gone to glory is to be consoled by the legacies he left behind and imbibe his virtues of honesty, integrity, boldness and generosity.

“The late Bishop Emuobor impacted many lives positively, spread the message of God everywhere and won many souls for God,” he noted.
