The statement added: “After due consultation with the State Executive Council (SEC), we are led to call on every school owner to go to God in corporate prayers.
“We have called on government for palliatives. We have trained ourselves on how to combat/completely avoid this enemy. It is time we turn everything over back to our maker.”
Continuing, he said that the ‘NAPPS Day of Prayers’ will be observed simultaneously in all the chapters at the same time from 12:00 noon to 2:00p.m.
Ifoghere urged all Chapter Chairmen to pick a special venue, adding that all the precautionary measures on social distancing and wearing of masks should be adhered to.
According to the statement, the programme will be centred on appreciating God for life, asking God to touch the government so they can come to the aid of private school owners in these trying times and prayers also said to put an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The statement added that it would also be a time to pray that there be an atmosphere to enable schools to open fully for operation soonest and for God’s continued protection for all proprietors and their staff, learners and parents from the virus.
Meanwhile, the chairman thanked NAPPS members in the state for their support that resulted in the success of the ‘COVID-19 Preventive Training program’.
