How Pastor Elisha Placed A Marital Curse On his Daughters

Twenty two years ago Mr Elisha Adeyemi lived a comfortable and peaceful life with his family. He had a wife and many daughters. The number of sons and daughters I do not know. Life taught him a hard lesson that it was so difficult for him to feed his wife and pay school fees for his children. His children were usually sent home from school on several occasion and that made him worried.

He kept hope alive, believing God for a miracle, but nothing happened. He had the support of his obedient wife and that made him happy.

He decided to open a church with the hope that he would use the tithe and offerings to care for his family. His plans were successful; little offerings (money) started coming in, though it was not much, but it was enough to run his little family and put food on his table. All is fair in love and war, “he was at war with poverty and hunger”. He saw nothing wrong in using the name of the Lord to defraud people, so long as he could provide food for his family.

He had a loud mouth and was very good at gossiping others. He would laugh at other men whose wife left them because of misunderstanding. At other times he would gossip about married women who flirt around. On other occasion he would gossip about a young man who could not pay for his rent or send his children to school. Ordinarily, one would think that someone who had gone through hardship would understand other people’s plight, but Pastor Adeyemi’s case was different. He took pleasure in bad mouthing and running people down. Those who knew him very well were not surprised because he was a fake pastor. After all, God did not call him to be a pastor, he himself called God and started defrauding people using the name of the Lord God in vain. But God is not a man that can be fooled or deceived. So, things went from bad to worse for him. He decided to seek help from leaders of his community. Some were kind enough to give him the little assistance they could, but there was one leader that was willing to give him millions of naira. All he had to do was allow the leader sleep with his beautiful wife. He went home and thought about it for several days, he had no option. His wife was an obedient naive woman who believes that the husband has the final say. She went and slept with the man. The leader kept to his words and handed over the money to him. He became very proud and arrogant. He was a millionaire at the expense of his wife’s honour and dignity.

He travelled to another community to do business and ran into another business man who did not share his ideology. They argued for a long time and were about to tear each other apart when a beautiful princess came by. She was beautifully made; God’s own creation. She was so beautiful that I began to feel that God was not fair to me. She spoke with a subtle voice as her skin glowed like the early morning sun. “Let there be peace,” she said smiling. But Pastor Elisha Adeyemi was not pleased. He expected the princess to ask what happened and maybe apportion blame to whosoever was at fault. But the princess was only interested in making peace. Pastor Elisha did not know that she was not just an ordinary princess, but a princess of good and misfortunes. She usually returns every good done to her in double fold and wishes you the misfortunes that you wish her. Pastor Elisha was oblivious of this fact and so he started reigning abuses on the princess, saying “who called you to interfere in this matter?” He queried her, adding “peacemaker, you don’t have manners, go and marry,” he continued. What he didn’t know was that the princess was already married. He continued, I know a beautiful girl like you will not have a husband, no man will marry you, you will stay unmarried for the rest of your life. The princess smiled and said I wish your daughters all what you have wished me today and left him.

Years went by and his daughters began to face calamity. One of his daughters was raped by hoodlumns and she became pregnant. Another one was due for marriage, but no man saw her as a wife material. The third one finally got hooked to a seventy two year old man who finally agreed to marry her. He was divorcee and a man who was ageing biologically. He sent money for the marriage and asked Pastor Elisha to invite a lot of guests, but he never showed up. Pastor Elisha Adeyemi and his family were still expecting their would-be in-law when the daughter got a message from the man, saying; “I can’t marry you, you are only after my wealth.” The daughter broke the news to the entire family as she threw herself to the ground. It was the fourth time someone was disappointing her. Pastor Elisha Adeyemi could not believe his ears, he could not find words to console his daughter. He was still petrified when an old woman told him that he was the cause of his daughter”s problem. “You are the reason why your daughters are not married; you placed a curse on them twenty two years ago. Do you remember? The old woman inquired from him. The innocent princess that you transferred your aggression on, that angel of wishes in human form, she granted your wishes when you said that your daughters will never get married. Pastor Elisha immediately recalled that faithful day as he wailed miserably. Oh! oh! oh! what have I done to my daughters, as he cried and continued to wail unconsolably.

Let us be careful what we wish for others, we might just be wishing ourselves without knowing.
