DTHA Members Embark On Six Weeks Recess
The Delta State House of Assembly has adjourned plenary for six weeks.
The motion for the long adjournment was moved by the Majority Leader, Hon Tim Owhefere, seconded by the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon Oboro Preyor and unanimously adopted.
The house is to resume plenary on Tuesday, 8th September 2020.

The Majority Leader, Hon Tim Owhefere who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Information, explained that the six weeks break is the annual leave of members.
Hon. Owhefere stated that the Lawmakers are expected to avail themselves the opportunity of the long break to refresh for better performance as the task ahead were enormous.

He however pointed out that there could be Committee meetings or other oversight functions during the period of the recess.
The House Leader while wishing his colleagues happy vacation, enjoined all to stay safe at all times, especially against Covid-19 pandemic.
