JUST IN: Police Take Over Edo State Assembly Complex

Men of Nigerian Police have taken over the Edo State House of Assembly complex in Benin City, the state capital.
The police gathered in large numbers at strategic places around the building, denying anyone from entering the complex.
According to the police, the aim is to forestall breakdown of law and order from impending taking over of the complex .

The speaker had on Wednesday raised alarm over impending forceful takeover of the assembly by people he didn’t mention.
Yesterday, Yekini was impeached and Asoro elected as deputy speaker.
