NUJ Delta Council Elections To Hold October

At last, the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Delta State Council elections would hold between 5th-8th October, 2020.
The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Council, Comrade Sonia Unobonjo in her keynote address at the state congress of the council at Asaba on Friday, September 25, 2020, stated that the national secretariat of NUJ would choose a date out of the said dates as suggested by members of the interim committee during their official visit to Abuja recently
She explained that the said dates fell within the mandate period which her committee was given to put the Delta State NUJ in order before the conduct of an election.
A motion for the adoption of the selection of one of the said dates for the elections was moved and supported by the congress.

Comrade Unobonjo disclosed further that the interim committee presented a copy of the newly compiled compendium of the state council to the national secretariat during the visit.
Some of those who spoke at the congress advised the credentials committee of the Delta State Council to conduct a free, fair and credible elections of the council.
