2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration To Begin On Tuesday In Delta

“Activities marking the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration in Delta State will begin on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, with the Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem Launch, at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba at 1.00 pm prompt.”

This was contained in a press release by the Delta State Ministry of Information, signed by Theresa Adiabua Oliko,
State Director of Information and dated December 24, 2020.

According to the statement, “His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State, is expected to preside over the ceremonies as special guest of honour and will flag off the launching of the Armed Forces Emblem.”

The statement adds that an inter-denominational church service will hold on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Very Rev. Omeni Memorial Methodist Church, Infant Jesus Road, Asaba.

Kickoff time is 10a.m.

Adding: “The grand finale will hold on Friday, January 15, 2021, with a military parade and laying of wreath, at the Cenotaph, High Court Road, Asaba at 9.00 am prompt.”

Those to grace the event include top government functionaries, permanent secretaries, chairmen and members of boards and commissions, traditional rulers, service commanders, executive members of the state chapter of the Nigerian Legion, captains of industry, party chieftains, the organized private sector and stakeholders in the Delta State Project.

The statement adds that guests are to be seated at the venue for the launch of the emblem at 12.30 pm prompt.
