BREAKING: Provost Of DELSU Asaba Campus, Professor Patrick Oghuvbu Is Dead

-It Is A Big Loss To The University, Says Egwunyenga

The Provost of Asaba Campus of the Delta State University, Abraka, Professor Patrick Oghuvbu is dead.
The university don died during the early hours of Wednesday.
Reacting to the sad news, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Andy Egwunyenga said the news came to him as a shock.
His words: “The news came to us like a shock because there was no indication of illness at least not to my knowledge. So, when I got a report about 7.30a.m. this morning that he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital, I got really worried and I asked the Director of Medical Services to follow up. He called me back an hour later that he died; he could not make it. He died perhaps of Cardiac failure.”
Continuing, he said “it’s a big shock because Professor Oghuvbu is a very valuable Principal Officer of the University.”

Eulogizing the deceased, the VC said: “He was a renowned Professor of educational administration; a former Dean of Faculty of Law, a former Director of the Institute of Education; a gentleman and a Catholic Christian who comported himself very well,” adding “it is a big loss to the University.”
According to the VC, they have been trying to reach the family of the late provost, saying that they will be with the wife today to condole her on the irreparable loss.
“The university will miss him very much; his superior arguments at meetings; his maturity and he was never hot-tempered. He listened, was a good listener and a conciliator. I will miss his advice personally,” Egwunyenga added.
