Gunmen Attack Military Post In Sapele, Kill One Army Officer
By Nelson Agbajor, Sapele
There was pandemonium on Sunday night as unknown gunmen attacked a military checkpoint in Otonyasere Community, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State leaving one Army Officer, dead.
It was gathered that the gunmen came through the river side in Otonyasere Community to carry out a kidnap operation but needed to disharm the army at the checkpoint before they can carry out their mission since that is the only entry and exit point from the community through the river side.
IHPLMN also gathered that, it was a gun battle between the army and the gunmen
which resulted to the death of one Army officer during the process.

As at the time of filling in this report, efforts to reach the necessary authorities for comments, proved abortive.
