NAPPS Holds Prayers Against COVID-19

Members of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Uvwie Local Government Area have prayed for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to continue to succeed in piloting the affairs of Delta State.
They also prayed against the second waive of COVID-19 and against another lockdown in Delta State and Nigeria.
These were amongst the prayers said by members of the association in Uvwie Local Government Area in their first prayer day in 2021 at St Anastasia Heights Montessori School, Effurun on Thursday January 7, 2021.

The event wIth the theme ‘Affliction Shall Not Arise A Second Time’ from the Bible book of Nahum Chapter 19, attracted members from within and outside the local government area.
In her address, the Chairman of the association in the area, Mrs Rose Obi, encouraged members to be optimistic of good things in 2021.
She however advised that members should be mindful of what they say and hear as well as pray until something good happen to them.
“Prayer is the World’s greatest wireless connection. You may under pray but you cannot over pray.
“Please note that prayer does not change God; it only changes you who is praying,” she added.
Continuing, Mrs Obi stated, “As we call on Almighty God, the Creator of all good and perfect things today, I believe we will see His hands in everything we do.
“The battle is the Lord! Second waive of covid -19 and another lockdown must not happen neither will it come to pass” (Isaiah 7:7).”
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the event, the Host, Chief Anastasia Agbatutu, who is the proprietress of the school, reasoned saying, “Men cannot fight the battle against COVID-19 alone; we must therefore take the battle to God ”
The Uvwie chief however urged members of the association to always abide by government directives aimed at curbing the spread of the pandemic.
