Oghara: Okada Rider Murders Lover Over Alleged Infidelity, Attempts Suicide

A motorcycle (Okada) rider in Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, identified as Happy, has murdered his lover, Orhie Everusi over alleged infidelity.
Although the details of the incidence were sketchy at the time of filing this report, sources said that he is a popular Okada rider in the community.
Reports said that before the girls corpse was discovered in the bush were he hid her already decomposing body, the family of the deceased initially suspected him after she went missing few days ago.

We also learnt that before he confessed that he was responsible for her death, he attempted to commit suicide by drinking sniper. Perhaps he felt bad about his action and thought of ending his life just like he did to his lover.
He is said to have taken a little dose of the poisonous substance before he was stopped by neighbors. This got him hospitalized.
After gaining consciousness, he was interrogated, and confessed that he killed the girlfriend.
He thereafter took the police to the spot he had deposited the remains of the girl on Thursday.
Happy resides in Oghara, and hails from Ogharefe.
The deceased is from Oghareki. Her family are devoted Jehovah’s Witnesses and live in Igbimidaka.
When contacted for comments, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeta confirmed the report via a telephone conversation, saying “yes it is true.”
