Anioma Agenda, A Curse To Ndokwa Nation Development
Our elders told us in their wisdom that to look for the eyes of the fish you must go to it’s head . Be that as it may,, my suggestion is that your suggested committee may not achieve the goal as you desire it .
I am aware, being a former prime Director of the Board, that Chief Monday Onyeme and his management team did all that was administratively possible to effect the building of two revenue building at Kwale and Akwukwu-Igbo.
For three years we were led by Chief Monday Onyeme to both Ministry of Economic Planning and the State House of Assembly for budget defence. In all the said three years, Kwale and Akwukwu -Igbo revenue buildings were approved by the approving authorities ie economic planning ministry and House of Assembly.
Unfortunately, the power at the helm of affairs in the executive arm of the government has not found it exigent to build as approved in the budget. Is this not impunity? Being that many people of Ndokwa extraction are asking questions on this matter, it is my humble opinion that NNU should confront His Excellency, the Governor on this or make it part of Ndokwa political negotiation package with next contestants of the Governorship election in 2023.

I am not a spokesman for Chief Monday Onyeme but I would volunteer to say that before the coming of our brother to the Chairmanship of the Board of Internal Revenue, the immediate past chairman exercised powers which Chief Monday Onyeme has been denied.
It starts with monthly monetary allocation to the Board. Mr Joel Onowakpo’s board had the exceptional opportunity of being given between 5 and 10% (depending on the mood of Governor Uduaghan) as “cost of collection” . This is approved by law in Delta State and some other states- even for FIRS. It was from this source that revenue buildings we find in other Delta nationalities were built. Onyeme’s Board does not have such opportunities or privileges.
Even in the appointment of consultants, I don’t know if Chief Monday Onyeme has been privileged to appoint one. Consultants are approved and appointed from above!
He is the Chief Executive of the Board but cannot by any means claim to be as independent in his operations as the previous chairman!
