BREAKING: Buhari Approves 3 Months Extension For Police Boss, Adamu

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a three month extension of tenure for the Inspector General of Police Muhammed Adamu.
IGP Adamu’s tenure was expected to end penultimate Monday.
The Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammad Dingyadi, disclosed this in a briefing with the State House press on Thursday in Abuja.
According to him, the extension was necessary to allow for proper selection of a successor to replace Adamu.
Oasis Magazine (OM) had reported that there was already a change of baton and that another top police officer had taken over.

This comes days after news went viral that the president has approved the appointment of AIG Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim, as Acting Inspector General of Police.
This development may have put to rest the controversial surrounding the issue.
