DELBAG Commends FG, UK For repatriating Ibori’s Loot, Say 60% Of Funds Be Used For Development In Delta
The Delta Economic Literacy, Budget and Accountability for Good Governance, DELBAG today commended the efforts of the the Federal Government of Nigeria and the United Kingdom for the successful repatriation of 4.2 million pounds looted by Chief James Onanefe Ibori, former governor of Delta State.
DELBAG gave the commendation at a press briefing held in Warri.
In a three point position read by Nohwo Fred, Chief Monday Itoghor, Martha Onose and others noted that Chief James Onanefe Ibori is a citizen of Delta State.
The group however advocated that sixty percent of the returned loot be used in developing Delta State.
DELBAG also urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to urgently set a Committee comprising all relevant stakeholders (Federal, State and Community leaderships) for the proper planning, execution and monitoring of the approved projects.

DELBAG also appealed that 60% be used for development or laudable projects in Delta State.
It also expressed the hope that the Federal Government will do the needful in the administration of the looted funds.
