Delta 2023: OSU Governorship Movement EXCO Inaugurated In Sapele LGA

Ahead of 2023 governorship election in Delta State, a political pressure group known as ‘ OSU Governorship Movement’, has been inaugurated in Sapele Local Government and executive members picked with the task of realising the political ambitions of any of the governorship aspirants of Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency.

The inauguration, which was observed by the former chairman of Sapele Local Government Area and one of the Governorship hopeful, Hon. Ejaife Odebala and the National Coordinator of OSU Governorship Movement, Hon. Ese Sanco as well as other national stakeholders of the body, has Comrade Samuel Edafe as Coordinator for Sapele Local Government Council.

Odjuwuederhie Samuel Odafe (Coordinator), Comr. Fidelis Eyaghobor (Deputy Coordinator I), Dr. Elume Efe Erekpaine (Deputy Coordinator II ), Cynthia O. Eshogba Olojoba (Secretary)Ake Kenneth (Assist Secretary), Beauty Williky (Treasurer), Celestine Ogege (Financial Secretary), Glory Eghrudje (Organising Secretary), Ojagbeghru Presley (Assist Organising Secretary), David Ajuje (Publicity Secretary), Denis Atubi( Assist. Pub. Secretary), Vivian Atuma (Women Leader), Lucky Itoje (Youth Leader), Mathew Segun(Auditor) and Godwin Ayomanor (Adviser).

Speaking to journalists shortly after the inauguration, Hon. Ejaife Odebala, said that OSU Governorship Movement was birthed as a platform to seek the support of the people of the Constituency and ensure that equity and fairness was given the needed consideration in the choice of governorship candidates among the Urhobos.

Hon. Odebala, who urged members of the body to redouble their commitments towards achieving its mandate , stated that there was need for political leaders from Delta Central to consider the aspirations of interested governorship aspirants from Okpe , Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency to occupy the number one seat for the sake of equity.

In his remarks, the National Coordinator of OSU Governorship Movement, Hon. Ese Sanco, described the initiative as another milestone in the political history of the area, adding that Ethiope and Ughelli axis of Delta Central Senatorial District have had their turn as Governor of the state at different times.
