Ethiope East Council Boss Inaugurates Economic Development/Summit Planning Committee
-Urges Them To Setup A Developmental Plan For The LGA
The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council.Rt. Hon. (Pharm.) Ofobrukueta Victor, has inaugurated the Ethiope East Economic Developmental/Summit Planning committee.
The council boss in his inauguration speech urged the committee members to think out of the box due to the paucity of funds coming to the local government, adding that we need to come up with a developmental plan outside the allocations coming to the Local Government.
Adding that if the LGA continues to depend on the allocations, Ethiope East will continue to remain underdeveloped.
He said: “I want Ethiope East to be among the local governments in Nigeria that will not depend on allocations from the federation account alone.
“It is on this note that I have called you here today as people who I believe in, with the mental capacity, and the technical know-how to be able to bring up an Economic and Developmental blueprint on how to leave this precarious state that we as a Local Government have found ourselves.
“I also want this committee to put together an Economic conference within the next 60 days to bring our people both locally and those in Diaspora that can bring development to this Local Government.”
