We’II Continue to Work For Dev. Of Samagidi Community Kokori —Akpomeyoma

The President General of Samagidi Progress Union (SPU) Kokori, Ethiope East LGA, Delta State, Mr. Akpomeyoma Oba, has assured the people of the community that he will continue to work with his exco members for the growth and development of the area.
Mr. Akpomeyoma stated this during the annual conference of SPU which took place at the community town hall recently.
However, in a welcome address presented by Mr. Akpomeyoma during the conference, stated that, their administration came on board April 2018, which he said will be terminated in April 2022 respectively.
According to him, “despite the challenges, his administration has been able to record some appreciable progress,” adding that his administration has facilitated the purchase of an 18 seater Toyota bus which is a source of income generation to the.community.”
“A block of five lock-up stores was also built in this government for source of income to the community, and it is also our firm believe that with all these income generating infrastructures, the community will soon overcome the problem of finanace to maintain existing social amenities in the community,” the PG added.
Mr. Akpomeyoma who also said that the Theme of this year’s conference tagged: “Thanking God for His Endless Mercy,” urged the people of the community to continue to hope in God, saying that the peace the people is enjoying today is through the mercy the lord God has for the community.
He therefore, commended the efforts of some stakeholders who have worked for the development of Samagidi community.

Persons like Chief Godwin O. Ogbetuo, Chief Emma Avworo, and many others.
However, Chief Emma Avworo, former President General of SPU who spoke during the conference, commended the executive and members of SPU over thier efforts and called on them to work for more development of Samagidi community.
On his part, the Secretary General of SPU, Mr. Great Ejohwokoghene Akpotohwase, however, thanked the stakeholders of SPU and others who made efforts to grace the conference.
High point of the conference was the nomination of two persons to fill the vacant positions in the Union as a result of death.
However, Mr. Oborairuvwe Victor was nominated for the position of 1st VIce PG, while Mr. Erhirhie Tega was nominated for the position of Treasurer.
