I Am Determined To Bring The Needed Growth, Development To Enerhen Community, Says PG

The President General of Enerhen Community in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, Comrade Onovughe Sunday Agan, has said despite the security challenges bedeviling the country of which Delta State forms a part, he is determined to work assiduously with his formidable team to bring the needed growth and development to the community.
Comrade Agan disclosed this over the weekend in a chat with newsmen in his office in Enerhen.
He said, already, he has set machinery in motion not only to attract investors to the community but to empower youths, men and women alike for the speedy growth and development of the community.
He added: “As the President General of Enerhen Community, l have set machinery in motion to see that investors are attracted to the community and also empower the men, women and the youths especially through various programmes which are being put in place, adding that by the grace of God, in no distance time, all earmarked programmes would be realised.
The President General who has just spent barely two months in office, said the community is laising with the state government, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and other relevant agencies to ensure that the goals and aspirations of the community are achieved.
He continued:” l can categorically say that l am working with my executive to liase with the state government, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and other agencies to make us realise our set target.”

Comrade Agan said he will ensure that the women, men and the youths are empowered by developing their talents in the various areas to enable them fit well in the community.
He added that his executive would soon diversity into agriculture by training the youths especially in this regard to make food suplus, among others.
Speaking further, he said: “We would diversify into agriculture by training our youths especially in this regard, all geared towards better living.”
He said Enerhen Community is one of the most peaceful communities in the country despite the challenges being faced by the country just as he has promised to sustain the existing peace in the area.
His words: “Our community, Enerhen is one of the most peaceful communities in the country, right from the time of my predecessors to this time l took over the mantle of leadership, it has been peaceful and l promise to sustain the tempo.”
The President General said the only challenge right now is the local content as many multinational campanies are losing jobs to local contractors, adding that they do enjoy the multinational companies.
He however said so far, every thing is going well in the community.
Comrade Agan used the medium to thank his predecessors who have worked assiduously to keep the community in peace over the years just as he has promised to build on the legacy they left behind.
