Following the pledge made by the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani that deplorable roads in the Tsaunin Kura (Sabo GRA) would be accorded priority in the first quarter of 2021, the Tsaunin Kura GRA Residents Association has reminded the Speaker that they are optimistic he would still honour the pledge before the year runs out.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Executive Public Relations Officer (EPRO) of Sabo GRA, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, made available to newsmen on Sunday July 11, 2021.

“Though the timeline given for the commencement of the fixing of our roads has elapsed, we are optimistic that the Speaker, Rt. Honourable Zailani is a man of his words and would still influence the roads projects in our community before the year runs out,” it said.

It explained that the pledge was made by the Speaker, when their late President, Comrade Dr. Silas Adamu led executives of the association on a visit to the Speaker on Monday November 30, last year.

“We have enough allocation for roads in next year’s budget.

“I will call KADRA and tell them Tsaunin Kura should be captured in the first quarter of 2021 projects,” the statement quoted the Speaker from a report published on New Nigerian on November 30, 2020.

It explained that the rainfall is yet to reach its peak this year, but they are already going through untold hardship in their community as a result of the deplorable roads.

“We are therefore, appealing to the Speaker to come to our aid as a very good friend of our community,” it added.

Sabo GRA commended Governor Nasir el-Rufai on the huge progress made so far in it’s urban renewal project, appealing to him to key their community into it.
