Urhobo Youth Leaders Rejig EXCO, Inaugurate 36-Man Committee
The Urhobo Youth Leaders’ Association, UYLA has rejigged its Executive Committee and inaugurated a 36-man committee for efficient, effective and quality representation.
The reconstitution of the UYLA EXCO was in line with the recommendations of the Atiti Ad-hoc Committee which saw the promotion of the immediate past President, Chief Amb Godwin Okporoko as member, Board of Trustees.
The brief but eventful ceremony tagged general meeting and swearing in of UYLA’s EXCO took place on Sunday, 27th June, 2021 at Nikoro Street, off Agric Road, Effurun.
For the first time in the history of the Association, the newly elected members of the EXCO were evenly selected across the 24 kingdoms of Urhobo.
The newly inaugurated EXCO are Chiefs Anthony Onoriode Ofoni (President, Uvwie), Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode Jp (Deputy President, Udu), Samuel Oghotomo JP (Vice President, Olomu), Augustine Ogheneovo Atiti (Secretary, Idjerhe) and Sylvester Femi Okumagba (Public Relation Officer, Okere). Others are Amb William Atagana (Community Relation Officer, Agbarha-Otor), Efe Mafuru (Treasurer, Okpe), Richard Ofenor (Auditor, Mosogar), Peter Agbaja Esq (Legal Adviser, Uvwie), Kingsley Eta (Organsing Secretary, Agbon), Tennyson Orhiunu (Spokesman, Ogor), Moses Darah (Media Director, Ughievwen), Julius Evwoja (Financial Secretary, Okpe), Amb Mercy Awhana (Women Leader, Arhavwarien), Olokpa Eghwrudje (Provost, Ughelli), Andrew Ekuetafia Gbise (Assistant Secretary, Udu), Francis Akatika (Assistant Provost, Eghwu), Julius Inyevwe (Assistant Organising Secretary, Ughwerun), Kingsley Akpeninor (Assistant Public Relation Officer, Oghara), Ernest Nikoro (Assistant Auditor, Oruarivie-Abraka), Evelyn Ewen (Assistant Women Leader 1, Uvwie) and Ruth Efemini (Assistant Women Leader 2, Idjerhe).

Monday Obire (Idjerhe), Kingsley Oyibo (Ephron-Otor), Morrison Agagu (Okparabe), Tega Ogberikoko (Agbarha-Ame), Alison Ohwogaga (Agbarha-Otor), Solomon Ogheruemu (Agbarho), Julius Ekure (Orogun), Samuel Aki (Evwreni), Sadiq Hitler (Ughievwen), Wilson Umukoro (Arhavwarien), Ogheneovo Oyiboaga, Grant Okpako (Okpe) were sworn-in as Ex-Officials while Paul Okoloko (Taskforce Chairman, Ughievwen) and Vote Akpotu (First Member Taskforce, Okere) completed the formidable list.
The President, Chief Ofoni in his acceptance speech on behalf of the EXCO, promised to work collectively for the interest of the Urhobo people.
The Chairman of the BoT and Pioneer President of the Association, Chief Westham Adehor and BoT member and former President, Chief Francis Arhiyor were present at the colourful event.
