“My political life is dynamic, though I have heeded the call of the Urhobo Youth Leaders, I will have to consult with my traditional rulers, and political leaders, and get their prayers; my kingdom chiefs were here on a visit and they asked me if I will be contesting since calls are coming in for me to contest for that position, and I have told them I will be contesting for the Senate under Delta Central. I am qualified for any position, but since we are calling for equity, and we are hoping that Delta Central will produce the next governor, the Senate for now is ideal for me.”
He however said if he eventually emerges as the Senator representing Delta Central, his tenure will be harvest of projects.
“Those who called on me to contest for that position know my ability to deliver; the teeming calls from Deltans both young and old to run will not be in vain. So I have decided to run for the Senate” he added.
The former Commissioner for Environment, however urged Deltans to continue their support for Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, adding that he has done well “so let us support him to finish strong.”
