Primary, Secondary Schools In Delta To Resume September 13, Says Education Ministry

The Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has reminded parents, principals and school heads as well as teachers in the state that public and private schools will resume first term academic activities on Monday, September 13, 2021.
A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Ede Oghoro, on behalf of the Honourable Commissioners for Primary and Secondary Education, indicated that borders will resume on Sunday, September 12 while classes will begin on September 13.

Mr. Oghoro in a statement further said that the 14 weeks duration of the term will end on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
The Basic and Secondary Education Permanent Secretary, disclosed that the mid-term break will commence from Thursday, October 28 to Friday, October 29.
He said that the first term examination will hold from Wednesday , December 1st to Wednesday, December 15, 2021, explaining that the three weeks holiday will commence on Wednesday, December 15 and end on Thursday, January 10 , 2022 when the second term would begin.
Mr. Oghoro, however, advised all public and private schools in the state to comply with the directives, while also calling on parents to make their children and wards available for academic activities.
