A former officer of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), attached to Ozoro Area in Delta State, James Eno, fondly called Bishop, on Thursday shot his lover, Emezana Purity for refusing to marry him.

Credible sources said Purity turned down the marriage offer after she discovered he (Eno) was already married with a child which he kept as a secret during their five-year-long relationship.

Our source added: “He had told the family of Purity to refund back his money he spent on her but they begged him to give them some time till Tuesday next week. He calculated and pegged the money at 1.5million naira which they agreed to pay.

Oasis Magazine learnt that James is now on the run as Purity battles for her life in an undisclosed hospital in Warri where she is already placed on oxygen and getting other medical attention.

Oasis Magazine gathered that a rights activist in the state, Israel Joe and his team have forwarded the entire medical report and the present state of things to the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, who his also a member of the Delta State Human Rights Protection Committee set up by the Delta State government for prompt arrest, actions and prosecution of James Eno.

A statement by Joe said: “The era of right abuses in the state is gradually coming to an end as no one is bigger than the law.”
