Sam Obiago’s Death Throws Anioma Into Mourning
The Anioma nation is bleeding following the death of Nollywood’s Samuel Sam Obiago popularly called “Big Daddy” by his fans.
The death of Sam Obiago, Nollywood actor, filmmaker, TV personality, and movie producer was confirmed by Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
Sam Obiago who hails from Asaba in Delta State, is a former banker who worked with ECOBANK and Access Bank before venturing into the movie industry.
He reportedly died early Thursday after complaining of weakness.
The actor, one of the most popular in the sector, attended St. Gregory’s College, Lagos later Institute of Management Technology where he studied Mass Communication. He later obtained M. A in Business Administration from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

Obiago, a twin, had two sons, and Shalom, one of the sons is studying at the University of Pennsylvania.
The Anioma pride in Nollywood has featured in more than 100 movies that include Woman of Fire, Ghana Island, Actor of Love, and Royal Headache, among others. He lived in Asaba.
His death has thrown the Anioma nation into a mournful mood as the people have started to send condolences to the family and Nollywood.
