Ughievwen Monarch Marks 10th Anniversary, Confers Chieftaincy Titles On 31 Deltans

As part of activities to mark his 10 years coronation anniversary, the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, HRM Matthew Ediri Egbi, Owahwa II, Thursday, conferred traditional chieftaincy titles on 31 deserving Deltans.
Those honoured with the titles include; the first Vice President General of the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, Olorogun Anthony Onoharigho, Dr. Rukevwe Ogumba, Chief Hope Gbagi and others.
Speaking during the ceremony, the traditional ruler noted that the recipients had contributed immensely to the development of the kingdom and the state at large.

He said the Ughievwen kingdom was known for a peaceful and harmonious relationship with other kingdoms in the state and the country as a whole.
The Monarch called on investors to take advantage of the peaceful nature of the kingdom to invest in the area.
Speaking moments after, Dr. Rukevwe Ogumba congratulated the traditional ruler on the coronation anniversary.
She thanked the monarch for the conferment of the chieftaincy titles and assured that those honoured with the titles would be good ambassadors of the kingdom and Urhobo in general.
She said the Ughievwen kingdom was known for its desire to always promote and uphold the value and culture of the Urhobo people.
