EARLY WARNING: Niger Delta Environment On The Keg Of Environmental Explosion To Multiple Oil Spillages.

The Niger Delta which has been the exploration and production (EP) of crude oil and gas in Nigeria for over five decades, is on the keg of environmental explosion due to the naturally biological factor of corrosion.

Oil pipelines that transverse across the Niger Delta have outlived their life span or their duration and as such expired, hence the Niger Delta environment is in a keg of environmental gunpowder that is ready to explode anytime soon with multiple oil pipelines spills based on bio natural corrosion and equipment failures. By then, our environmental enemies who never want the good of their host will be labeling it as sabotage; watch out.

By this notice Niger Delta Eco Monitors Director, Com. Franklin Magada is calling on the IOCs, as a matter of public interest to do the needful to safeguard the environment, as a way of rapid response approach in changing all the oil pipelines infrastructure that are above 25 years of age and properly decommission all the abandoned oil pipelines and oil wells in other not to cause environmental havoc.

Because the recent bath of dead fish littering around the Niger Delta river bodies and the recent Nembe spill through my private assessment and investigation was as a result of this pipeline corrosion and oil wells improperly decommissioned. Of which they have not yet lived up to their expectations by cleaning up the environment and paying compensation to the people.
