DC-23 Final Report Is A Poor Script Written By The Cabal

They say that nothing is hidden under the sun. In God’s time and by the power of His word and glorious light, all things that were hidden shall be made known and the sun of truth shall shine forth brightly dismantling the web of mendacity and deceit and displacing the cruel darkness.

In 2021, I said the intention of DC23 to canvass support for Delta central is laudable but the decision to screen aspirants from Delta central would divide Urhobo nation; you didn’t believe me.

Late 2021, they ignored the wise counsel of OSU Governorship Movement not to set up a screening committee and I said they will push Delta central to the brink of disintegration; you didn’t believe me.

Today I say unless DC23 retraces its steps and we build bridges between ourselves, there might not be a Governor from Delta central, come 2023; I am also sure you do not believe me.

At every point, over the last 5 months, my words have proved to be prophetic. I have been proved right and I have been vindicated.

Those that doubt my admonitions, counsel and words do so at their own peril and frankly it takes NOTHING from me one way or the other. It is the message that matters and not what you think of the messenger.

The anger and disapproval that greeted the final list of the screening committee of DC23 shows that Deltans including the aspirants never had confidence in the screening committee and If this collective anger is not well managed; if these concerns, challenges and honest agitations are not handled with sensitivity, understanding, restraint, wisdom and care and if the leadership of DC23 continues to display its characteristic contempt, impunity and disdain for the concerns, fears and will of the people, we may be pushed as a people over the brink and the Urhobo nation may well be plunged into a long, rudderless, terrible and catastrophic conflict and disunity in which everybody will be a loser and no-one will or can win.

The truth is that our fears that the commitee was set up for a pre-determined purpose is gradually coming to fruition and it will not scale through because we are not unaware of the devices of the cabal.

Whoever that advised or whatever that was used to influence that decision is not in the best interest of Delta central and the good people of Osu federal constituency.

If everybody will succumb to this deception I will never. The fact that Ughelli federal constituency that has produced a Governor before now has two out of the three aspirants put out by DC-23 is a pointer to the fact that we are been led like a sheep to the slaughter. Can one player ever win against two players? The answer is an emphatic NO.

It only points to the presumption that the group was set up to project a particular aspirant from Ughelli federal constituency. Dazzol!

I will say this once and hold my silence , I do not for one minute doubt the leader of DC23, Chief Ighoyota Amori sincerity of purpose or his deep sense of patriotism. Anyone that can take a bullet for his people must always be given his due respect and honour. Yet despite my personal feelings and affection for him, I am afraid that, from an intellectual and political perspective, I have to respectfully and humbly disagree with him on this issue of screening. I do not believe that there is any such thing as prunning by a pressure group in our body polity and neither, in my view, do they have the constitutional backing to do so.

The fact that only Osu federal constituency has not produced a Governor in Delta is incontrovertible and equity demands we should be supported and not demoted in such a manner that will make us or put us in a vulnerable and precarious situation.

Our struggle is not just political, it is ideological, it is fundamental, it is spiritual, it is deep and it is far reaching. This is a battle we need to fight and a war that we must win.

It is like a moving train and a raging wind which crushes or blows away anyone or anything that stands in its way.

The people of OSU Federal constituency as being represented by OGM which I lead, has no place and no room for those that believe in the ”born to rule” or “born to be ruled” philosophy or those that subscribe to any form of ethnic domination or political subjugation. We will not tolerate it, we will not bow to it and we will resist it with every fibre of our being.

We call on Deltans and all men of goodwill to disregard the list put up by DC23 as it does not reflect the mindset of Delta central and support our cry for justice, fairplay and equity. Pls dont take this chance from us just because you can.

The God that stopped King pharaoh is still alive and that same God shall strengthen, guide and uphold us as long as he still reign supreme over the affairs of men.
