DC-23 Congratulates Oborevwori, As He Clinches PDP’s Guber Ticket In Delta

The leadership and entire membership of Delta Central 2023 (DC-23) has congratulated Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Sherriff Oborevwori after his victory at the Governorship Primary of the Peoples Democratic Party conducted today at the Asaba Stadium, Asaba.

A statement signed by Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo, Esq., National Publicity Secretary, DC-23, said: “We rejoice with our illustrious son as he clinches the gubernatorial ticket of our great Party.

“In May 2021, the DC-23 was formed as a lobby group to transverse the entire political landscape of the State to negotiate for a Governor of Delta Central extraction in 2023 under the platform of the PDP. We aggressively pursued this mission and based on our findings from critical stakeholders, we had to set up a Screening/Pruning Committee to reduce the number of Delta Central aspirants who were then about fourteen (14) to three (3).

“The Committee came up with:
# Rt Hon. Sherriff Oborevwori
# Olorogun David Edebvie and
# Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi.”

Adding: “We are proud to announce that two (2) of these great Urhobo sons came first and second in the contest.”

Oborevwori defeated 13 aspirants to emerge as the party’s guber candidate.
