Issele-Uku Prince, Nwabah Rejoices As UNIBEN Elevates Wife To Full Professor

A Prince of Issele-Uku Kingdom and retired Laboratory Technologist, Prince Engr. Onyeabor Nwabah has been overwhelmed by joy as his wife, Mrs. Nkiruka Iwebunankiti Nwabah was on 4th February, 2022, elevated to the position of a full Professor as announced by the Senate of the University of Benin.

This cheering news appears to have gladdened the heart of Engr. Nwabah who recently retired as Chief Lab Technologist from the same institution.

It was gathered that he has been praying for his wife to reach the pinnacle of her academic profession and God has indeed answered his prayers.

Prof. (Mrs) Nkiruka Iwebunankiti Nwabah holds her Ph.D and Ms.C from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, and B.Ed from the then Bendel State University.

She hails from Idumuje-Ugboko and married into the family of Nwabah at Ogbeidibo Quarters in Issele-Uku, same Aniocha North LGA of Delta State.

Prof. Nwabah is the immediate past Head of the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, University of Benin. A deeply devoted researcher who has published over 53 articles in reputable journals locally, and another eight (8) internationally.

In addition to her attendance of several conferences at home and abroad, she is also an external examiner of Post Graduate Students and external examiner of University Undergraduates, including Colleges of Education.

Prof. Nwabah has equally represented the National University Commission (NUC) in Universities Accreditations; was a Post Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, Faculty of Education, University of Benin; was an Examination Officer for Full Time and Part-Time Undergraduate Students; and was a course adviser for several years.

Reputed for her passion for children and youth development, Prof. Nwabah has won several awards for her enormous contributions to academic excellence.

She is happily married to Engr. Onyeabor Nwabah, and the marriage is blessed with children accustomed in sound values and lovely grand children.
