Delta 2023: Ofomana Wants Pressure Groups To Stop Hammering On Pruning Down Aspirants, Focus On Making South South Support Central

2023 Governorship aspirant in Delta State, Dr. Austin Akpo Ofomana, has called on pressure groups in the state to stop embarrassing themselves with the issue of pruning down the number of aspirants, adding that they should rather put their energy on the south senatorial district to obey and adhere strictly to the power rotation on senatorial basis and not along ethnic group.

Ofomana who spoke to journalists recently, said all such groups must stop wasting their energy on pruning, saying that aspirants should be allowed to go to the field for the party primaries and forget embarrassing the system with their issues of pruning.

He said that DC-23 should advice their anointed candidate to be prepared and come to the field as all their efforts to cheapishly give them the ticket failed.

He added: “For our party PDP to remain a force in the next general election, let us go to the field for a free and fair election. And as we approach the elections, I present my humble self as an aspirant to settle the political differences in the PDP family. In all, Evang Dr Austin Akpo Ofomana (aka Urhobo agenda) and Prof Chief Mrs Julie Umukoro nee Agha from Ndokwa East for governor and deputy governor respectively will make Deltans sing a new song and bring something different to Delta State, come 2023.”

Continuing, he said that he, alongside his running mate will declare for the 2023 governorship race on the 2nd of April in Oria-Abraka and thus invited Deltans to come out on the said day to identify with him.

Meanwhile, while describing Governor Okowa as a good example for all, he urged political leaders to advise their aspirants to prepare for a free and fair primary election, saying that the governor has promised free and fair primaries to enable the party to be strong for the main election.
