Edo Man To Spend 3 Years In Prison For Stealing Cable Wire
An Oredo Magistrate Court in Benin has sentenced one Etim Godwin, 37, to three years imprisonment for stealing cable wire worth N1.5million.
Presiding Chief Magistrate, Evelyn Edokpayi, convicted Godwin without an option of fine.
The police, represented by ASP Violet Soyemi, said the convict pleaded guilty to one count charge of stealing.

Godwin, a resident of No 20, Ikpoba Slope in Benin, Edo State, committed the act on February 10, 2022 at Ihama Road in Benin, GRA.
Osayamen Airhunmwande of No 64 Egbiayubini Crescent in Benin is the owner of the cable wire.
Godwin’s offence contravened section 390 of the Criminal Code.
