Edo NSCDC Commandant Slumps, Dies While Attending Function In Benin

Guests and attendees were Thursday afternoon thrown into grief at an event when the Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Agun Gbenga suddenly slumped and died.
The incident occurred few minutes after the Commandant finished giving his goodwill message while sitting at the high table, other guests rushed to revive him and rushed him to the Military Base Hospital in Benin City but doctors confirmed him Brought in Dead (B.I.D).

The event was put up by the International Association of World Peace Advocates where he was an award recipient.
The incident has thrown the entire NSCDC into mourning as Mr Agun Gbenga was said to have recently assumed leadership of the command in Edo State.
As at press time, the cause of death was still unclear.
