Adeyanju Deji Reacts As DTHA Approves Okowa’s N150Bn Loan Request
A well known Nigerian human right activist and social commentator, Adeyanju Deji has taken to his official Facebook page to react after Delta Assembly approved governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s N150 billion loan request.
According to information gathered from a reliable source, the Delta House of Assembly, on Tuesday, has approved a request by the current governor of Delta State who represented the good people of Delta North Senatorial District in Delta State, Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for a bridging finance facility of N150 billion in favor of the state government.

The governor’s request was contained in a letter read at the plenary of the assembly by the speaker, Sheriff Oborwvwori, in Asaba, however, governor Ifeanyi Okowa made it known that part of the loan would be tailored towards taking care of outstanding pension commitments to the state and local government areas pensions in the contributory pension scheme, amounting to N20 billion and N10 billion, respectively.
Based on these notes, the former Head of News Media for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adeyanju Deji made it known that approving the N150 billion loan is unacceptable, adding that leaving such kind of debt for the next government and next generation is beyond evil.
