Oba Of Benin Removes Abudu Community From Edo Dukedom

The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II on Friday announced the removal of Abudu community from the traditional administration of the Enogie of Evbuobanosa.

According to a statement signed by the Secretary to Benin Traditional Council (BTC), Frank Irabor, the Odionwere of Abudu will henceforth be the traditional head of the community empowered to report directly to the palace of the revered Benin monarch.

“The general public is hereby informed that henceforth, Abudu village in Orhionmwon local government area of Edo state seizes to be under the traditional administration of the Enogie of Evbuobanosa.

“Consequently, the traditional head of Abudu village is now the Odionwere who will be reporting directly to the palace of the Oba of Benin”, the statement dated 1st of April 2022 partly read

Chief Gregory Akenzua is the Enogie of Evbuobanosa.
