Nigerian Idol: “You Have Made Delta State Proud,” Gov. Okowa Tells Progress

Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated the winner of this year’s Nigerian Idol show, Progress.
Progress, a Deltan who resides in Warri, was announced as winner of the 7th edition on Sunday.
In a Facebook post, Okowa, said Progress has made Delta State proud.
“#Delta No Dey Carry Last,” the governor humorously added.
Zadok and Progress were the two contestants in the finale of the show .
As the winner, he will walk away with 30 million naira, a brand new SUV, a recording deal and other exciting prices.
The show started with top 12 contestants who emerged from the preliminary stage.
Banty was last week eliminated from the show, leaving Zadok and Progress to battle for the grand prize.
