Delta Attorney-General Honoured With Award For His Contributions To Legal Practice In Nigeria

The Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice Delta State, Isaiah Bozimo Esq, has received an award of Excellence for his contributions to the legal profession in the country from Members of the Law Students Association Of Nigeria, (LAWSAN), South-South Zone.

Bozimo who received the award in his office at Asaba, commended LAWSAN for the gesture, assuring them that he will give the group the support they needed to succeed in their future activities.

He told them that he was particularly pleased with the laudable programmes they have embarked upon, predicting that Delta State students will come out best in the competition.

The Honourable Attorney-General said he was happy to hear that Delta State is amongst the eight teams that made it to the final stage of the competition.

He added that he was confident that with the poll of talents which abound in Delta State, a good outcome was expected.

While praying for the end of the strike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (ASUU), he noted that the action had impacted negatively on the students LL.B Programme .

Earlier, the leader of the group, Sen. Oghenevovmeero Favour, Sergeant At Arms LAWSAN SENATE, while presenting the award to the Delta State Attorney-General, commended him for accepting to sponsor their programmes and other financial assistance they have received from him.

He explained that apart from appreciating the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, for his support, they were in his office to update him on their forthcoming programmes.

Sen. Oghenevovmeero, told him that they were through with the first two stages of the competition and left with the finals which will hold at the University of Benin despite the strike action.

He added that apart from the competition, the Association has its upcoming Convention programme which will hold in Asaba from the 3rd to 5th of August, 2022.

He stated that the Attorney-General will be formally invited to grace the occasion.
