Delta State Attorney-General Commends Gov. Okowa, As Justice Ministry Ends One-Day Capacity Building Training

A one day capacity building training programme for State Counsel in the Ministry of Justice Delta State, has ended in Asaba with the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice Delta State, Isaiah Bozimo Esq, commending Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for providing a conducive environment for Delta State civil servants to perform their duties.

The Attorney-General who was fielding questions from journalists after the training programme, explained that the event was designed to increase the knowledge of State Counsel to improve their efficiency in the defence of Civil matters involving the State Government and its agencies.

He added that the capacity building training programme was the first of many, lined up by the management of the Ministry for legal and non-legal staff of the Ministry which is aimed to ensure that all staff acquire the needed skills to discharge their duties effectively.

He Commended the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa for the new Secretariat Complex which he described as one of the best in the Country with wonderful facilities.

“The Governor’s impact and support has been tremendous. Look at the facilities here, that we are having this event today. In the past, we will go and hire a venue outside the Ministry of Justice, incurring further cost. Today we have a situation where within our work space we can converge “.

The Functioning Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Omamuzo Erebe Esq., who also spoke to newsmen, said the Ministry would continue to give its best in the performance of its duties.

He stated that the participants for the training programme were drawn from the Headquarters Office and the Zonal Offices across the State.

Participants at the training programme also expressed their appreciation to the Government and pledged to continue to discharge their duties creditably.
