ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Okowa's Loans Spree Must Be Stopped

Recall that on the 26th of April, 2022, The PDP populated Delta State House of Assembly hurriedly pulled a fast one and approved a loan of N150 Billion Naira for Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa. The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwor, without following due process of a public hearing, rubber stamped a loan to be facilitated through Zenith Bank.

Immediately, there was an outcry from Deltans, which necessitated the urgent need to stop this Banks bridging facilities loans and its uncleared intended usage.

After series of meetings, we the CONCERNED CITIZENS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE decided to nip the bud in the nick of time. The President and Convener, ably led by Amb. Jonathan Obukowho Siovworho and on behalf of the group decided it is high time we stop these unnecessary and unwholesome borrowings which is not of public interest.

It’s just 10 months to the end of this administration of Governor Okowa, so why all this sudden rush for borrowings, rubber stamped by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly?
