I Have Been Empowering People For 17 Years — Dafinone

The Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, MAN, Export group, and the Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Okakuro Ede Dafinone, has assured the people of Delta Central of more empowerment if he is voted to represent the Senatorial district in next year’s election
Dafinone who was addressing a selected team of social media influencers in the state yesterday in his abode emphasised that his empowerment will be a continuation of how he has been improving lives for the past 17 years.
“When they say Dafinone what have you done for us? Only those who don’t know me will ask that kind of question. When I first contested for this position over 15 years ago and it was not successful, I told myself that you don’t need to be a senator to help people, so I set up a revolving loan fund so that my people can establish and do small business for themselves.”

Ede, who is from the famous Dafinone Dynasty, the family with the most chartered accountants in the Guinness book of records narrated that the scheme did not last long, saying that “the loan was a revolving one so most persons did not refund the cash to revolve.”
“We however decided to empower them in another way. For the past seventeen years, the Dafinone Foundation has been empowering young men and women through skill acquisition, from tailoring to welding, and hairdressing and so on, we have empowered thousands of our people and we will continue to do so.”
The former NEXIM bank board member then urged Urhobos to vote for him, adding that he is the most qualified candidate for the Senate.
